Mission Statement
Teen Driving Solutions, Inc. provides advanced driving instruction formulated on the principles of personal achievement, sound judgment and good decisions. These principles empower teenage drivers to develop Mental Skills which yield responsible habits and behaviors and enable them to Arrive Alive at their driving destinations.
Our Vision
To facilitate measurable reductions in the National highway vehicle fatality rates and forever remove "driving" as the No. 1 cause of death for teenagers in America by creating "solutions" that keep pace with educational technology aimed at reducing driver error and promoting safe driving behaviors through mental skill development with vehicle control training.
About Us
Teen Driving Solutions is much more than just a name; it is who we are and what we do. We are a non-profit organization specializing in training programs for teenage drivers which equip them with real solutions for reducing their risk of injury and death while driving.
Driving is a serious responsibility and one that requires intense mental concentration and a comprehensive understanding of the vehicle and the environment in which that vehicle is being driven. Responsibility, concentration, comprehension and understanding are all "mental skills" which dictate that safe driving must begin in the drivers "mind".
Teenage drivers for years have suffered from a lack of education, training and experience but worse yet; their minds have been trained for failure rather than success. In many cases, teenagers are conditioned to believe that crashing is a legitimate form of learning and something that many parents expect in the first couple years of driving.
How many times have you heard someone say, "I’m buying my son or daughter an older vehicle because I know they will wreck their first one?" How many times has someone chosen their child’s vehicle based upon the safety rating of the vehicle? Do we want our teenagers to drive off believing that crashes are acceptable because their vehicle is there to protect them? How many times is the first crash the fatal crash?
Developing safe driving habits and behaviors requires a mind that is focused on achieving success. It requires a mind committed to the goal of arriving alive, a mind that respects life and property, a mind which is intimately connected to the vehicle being driven and a mind that is prepared for a task that only be defined as a matter of life and death.
To facilitate that thought process, we developed a unique and powerful training program for teenage drivers entitled "The GRIP on Life Teen Driving Seminar" which places the primary focus on helping teenagers change the way they "think" about driving. Using the mental principles outline in the previous paragraph, we assist teens in developing Mental Skills that enable them to arrive alive at every destination in life.
Additionally, we demonstrate how to apply these mental skills to their daily driving approach through various Vehicle Control training exercises. Each student is accompanied by an in-car instructor who defines the object of each exercise and assists them in correcting errors and gaining a mental understanding for the dangers these situations could present on the road.
Unlike many other programs of this nature, we grade each student’s performance and abilities and students who fail to meet a minimum standard are counseled on additional training methods that could benefit them. True confidence is a result of perfecting successful skills, not from feeling good about the bad habits a driver has managed to get by with.
We value the lives of the teenage drivers we train and all of our training methods and tactics encourage personal achievement and driving success. Driving is a matter of life and death and success is defined by Arriving Alive without causing harm or injury to yourself, your passengers, others you share the road with or your personal vehicle.
If you’re concerned about your teenagers life (or your own), we encourage you to fill out a registration form and attend one of our teen driving seminars. Anyone 15 years or older is welcome to enroll. CLICK HERE to read more about The GRIP on Life Teen Driving Seminar. Remember, vehicles don’t crash themselves, drivers do.
